Hello

I live in an apartment in Toronto and I cannot have big tools like band-saw or bench drill etc…

Is there some kind of public place where we can use professional tools in Toronto for our own projects?

Thank you very much if you can help!

Where can I find a woodworking shop near Alexandria, VA?

Posted on October 21st, 2010 by admin

I want to build some furniture, but my townhouse doesn’t have a garage and I don’t have some of the more advanced tools like bench- or miter- saws. Is there somewhere in the Alexandria, VA, area I can rent a "bay" to complete some furniture projects?

Send me a message. I have a buddy down that way who does that. I’ll email him and ask where he works out of.

looking to interview a woodworker!?

Posted on October 19th, 2010 by admin

Hello all, i’m doing some research and i’m interested in interviewing a woodworker.
I’m interested in woodworking and may begin working on some in the future.
I have a couple questions i would like to ask and i’d love to hear your answers.
I would like to contact through e-mail, yahoo messenger or facebook. If you have any other ideas for communication then please, let me know. :) Excited to hear your answers!

I do not know what kind of woodworker you are looking to interview. My uncle is a scroll saw artist. Here is his website address. You can contact him there if you are interested. http://pajarostudiowns.com/

Where do i get information about hook and loop sandpaper?

Posted on October 16th, 2010 by admin

I’m going to start my amateur woodworker, and i can’t find information regarding hook and loop sandpaper for orbital random sanders.

Information regarding the hook and loop sandpaper is quite difficult since some sites only talk about the orbital random sanders. Here i had helped by this site: http://www.hookandloopsandpaper.org
I don’t intention to promote it but, it’s really helpful. Good luck with your woodworking!

easy woodworking projects for kids?

Posted on October 13th, 2010 by admin

i need some easy woodworking projects for my kids
any idea…..

Woodworking projects for kids should be comparatively simple but also be useful, say, a bird table with a little house on it. Or a dog kennel or a stool. They could make a set of draughts (checkers), a board and a box to put the pieces in. A pencil box with a sliding top, a letter box or a herbs and spices rack.

if you want step by step woodworking project then i recommend you to check out below website

Do university woodworking, engineering etc classes accept projects from people?

Posted on October 8th, 2010 by admin

I have heard that you can give them a project to do and they will sometimes complete it free of charge. For example, fix a car, produce something from wood etc. Is this true, any experience on this? And how does it work if I want something done?

Not sure, but I know a lot of highschools do the car-fixing. Usually it helps if you know the teachers, otherwise just talk to someone in charge and mention that you have a busted car/need of a shed or what have you and they might do it.

What are some interesting woodworking projects?
