basics of woodworking?

Posted on May 31st, 2010 by admin

i have to finish a study guide and the last page we need the 6 major steps
1.)Planning and layout
1.choose project
2.choose wood
3.measure the layout
4.trace the pattern onto wood
5.tools needed
2.)cutting
3.)shaping
4.)drilling
5.)assembly
6.)sanding and finish
i need 5 subtopics for each main topic i only got one done and our was supposed to tell us the rest but he didnt

first of all to learn the basics of wood working you should start your work by making simple furniture’s like tables, chairs etc.
then make a plan of the thing you are going to make
draw the plan on a paper and make of list of the materials that are necessary to implement the plan
calculate the overall cost for the estimated materials
then bring the materials and start doing work but wood working requires much patience and it will be tough for beginners
be alert while doing the wood work because even a small mistake may result in severe injury
it is important to follow safety measures while doing wood work
i hope my answer helps you
all the best!
